Several Lane Closures on I-95 Near Darien This Week

Several stretches of Interstate 95 near Darien will have lane closures this week for bridge maintenance and inspections, as well as tree cutting, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced.

The tree cutting will continue through Feb. 13 on Interstate 95 in Stamford and Greenwich, according to a separate announcement from the department.

(This weekend, Feb. 2 and 3, crews repaired highway lighting in Darien and Stamford along I-95, the department said in still another announcement.)

These other bridge-related lane closures will take place on the highway (and on the Merritt on Tuesday in Norwalk):

MONDAY

—Westport and Norwalk — alternating right lane closures in both northbound- (from 9 a.m. to 12 noon) and southbound-traffic lanes ( 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) between Exits 16 and 18.

TUESDAY

—Westport and Norwalk — same as first item above

**—Greenwich — At Exit 5, alternating right and left lane closures in both northbound- and southbound-traffic lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (The same place and time each day through Thursday)

—Stamford — Alternating shoulder closures in both northbound- and southbound-traffic lanes between Exits 7 and 9.

—Norwalk — on Route 15, the Merritt Parkway, alternate right and left lane closures on in both northbound- and southbound-traffic lanes between Exits 40B and 39.

WEDNESDAY

—Westport and Norwalk — same as first item above

—Greenwich — same as starred item above

THURSDAY

—Greenwich — same as starred item above
