I-95 Nighttime Lane Closures for Bridge Maintenance Coming in Darien, Norwalk, Westport

Two nighttime bridge maintenance projects on Interstate 95 will close some lanes, slowing traffic from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. in May and June, but the projects, as scheduled, aren’t expected to take place at the same time. And then there’s the near shutoff of the highway around Exit 9 in the first two weekends of June. The first project, in East Norwalk, will close some northbound lanes (not southbound) between Exits 14 and 17 from May 6 to 17. The second project, in Darien, will close lanes in both directions in the area around the Noroton Avenue bridge from June 13 to July 19. And don’t forget: The first two weekends in June will be horrible on I-95 as the Exit 9 Bridge is replaced, with half of the superstructure being replaced one weekend, and the other half on the other weekend.
