Nora H. Forlenzo died peacefully on Friday November 20th at home surrounded by her family. Born on June 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Harrington. She was 88.
Nora was raised on a farm in County Cork, Ireland and had a fondness for animals particularly her horse Molly. She moved to New York City in the 1950s, lived in Washington Heights and worked as a telephone operator and became a Yankees fan.

After a job transfer to Greenwich, she met her husband, Salvatore, and married in 1956. She then became a housewife and loving mother. She was a devout Catholic, loved to spend time with her family, cook, read, and laugh. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her generous spirit and the twinkle in her eye.

She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Forlenzo III, her son Mark Forlenzo and son Salvatore Forlenzo IV. She is survived by her son Daniel, her daughter Noreen, grandson Brandon and daughter-in-law Dianne Volpe Forlenzo. She leaves a sister, Ina Harrington from New Jersey, and many nieces and nephews both in New Jersey and Ireland.

A celebration of Nora’s life will be at St John Roman Catholic Church, 1986 Post Road in Darien on Wednesday Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. Interment is private.
