The Connecticut Department of Transportation doesn’t announce it, usually, in news releases, but the department’s “Traffic Incidents” Web page about highway traffic delays shows how much road work is constricting nighttime traffic near Darien.
Here’s a list of eight projects going on Wednesday night to 6 a.m. Thursday, from Greenwich to Bridgeport on either the Merritt Parkway or Interstate 95, and it amounts to a pretty typical weeknight for this area (if it went on at any time during the day, more vehicles would be delayed):
