Bruce Ho, senior advisor, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will speak in Wilton and online via Zoom.com about offshore wind power in Connecticut.
With two projects underway and two more planned, Connecticut ranks among the top 10 states nationwide for offshore wind power development.
Prior to his post at Connecticut DEEP, Ho was a senior advocate in the climate and clean energy at the National Resources Defense Council.
Ho will be speaking April 10 at a meeting of the Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County. The program starts at 7 p.m., with refreshments served at 6:30 p.m.
This meeting is free and open to all. Register at bit.ly/CTWindPower to attend in person at the Wilton Quaker Meetinghouse, 317 New Canaan Road, Wilton, where or choose to participate online via Zoom.
This program on environmental stewardship is in honor of Earth Day, which humanists would suggest should be every day. Humanists support sustainable activities and legislation and actions to mitigate climate change, conserve energy, reduce pollution, and to protect animal and plant life.
The Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County, Connecticut (HFFC), espouses reason and compassion, and seeks to promote humanism and free thought in our community.
