Bartlett nature walks

Each “walk and talk” will focus on a specific theme or section of the Bartlett, encouraging a deeper relationship with some of the special trees, plants, and animals that live and grow at the Bartlett.

Bartlett Arboretum has started a regular nature “walk and talk” discussing trees, plants and animals every third Thursday of the month on Arboretum grounds starting at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18.

Each of the “Third Thursdays” walk and talk will focus on a specific theme or section of the Bartlett, encouraging a deeper relationship with some of the special trees, plants, and animals that live and grow at the Bartlett.

Topics explored may be history, arboriculture, plant culture, and geology or wildlife habitats and behaviors.

As the series title indicates, this is a program for the curious! No special knowledge is required, but walking shoes and property attire are highly recommended.

Registration is not required and participation is free, but good walking shoes and warm clothes are encouraged!

Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is at 151 Brookdale Road, Stamford.

Tours start at the Bartlett’s Silver Education Center lobby.
