Audrey F. Lord, a lifelong resident of Darien, passed away at her home on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Born on Sept. 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Scot Foye and Catherine Burke Reilly Foye.
Audrey graduated from Darien High School in 1950 and worked at the Sweet Shop in Darien for many years. After high school, she went on to work in Manhattan as the executive secretary to the chairman of Electrolux.
In addition, Audrey was a past member of the Wilson Cove Yacht Club and was active volunteering at the 60+ Club of Darien. She loved cooking and entertaining the families, many friends and relatives at her home on Harbor Road.
She was married to her husband Kenneth, also a life-long resident of Darien, for 46 years before his death in 2002. She is survived by her daughter Susan Lord Sestito and her husband Lawrence, and her two granddaughters, Lindsay Lord Sestito, and Lauren Lord Sestito. She was also predeceased by her brother William F. Reilly and sister Muriel Backman.

The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
