A house expected to be demolished, eventually, was vandalized sometime between July 10 and 15, a caretaker for the property told police on Aug. 1.
Doors for several rooms were taken off their hinges and thrown against a wall. Several windows were broken. Bathroom fixtures were ripped off and thrown around.
Vandalism has been an ongoing problem at the site, with previous reports of it on July 22 and 26. No date has been set for demolishing the house. At the time of the police report, Darien police were told the owner expected to install security cameras. Electricity has been turned off for the building.
