With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to Judith Webb Kilmartin, a beloved mother and grandmother (known affectionately as GrandMummy or GM), who passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. After bravely battling metastatic melanoma, Judy passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital at the youthful age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She was the beloved daughter of Vincent C. Webb, M.D., and Margaret English Webb, and was predeceased by her parents and husband, Donald Joseph Kilmartin Jr. (“Don” aka “Pop Pop”). After graduating from Skidmore College, she moved to New York City, where she met her husband, Donald J. Kilmartin Jr. With Don by her side, Judy’s heart became firmly anchored in Noroton Bay, where she spent more than 40 years developing life-long friendships and was honored with the title, “Queen of the Bay.”
Together with Don, they built a loving and vibrant family that lit up the Bay with laughter, boating adventures, swim races, and quiet (and sometimes not-so-quiet) dinners on the deck. Her dedication and passion shone brightly at Person to Person, where she served as director of volunteers for over four decades.
