Harry Zavos of Stamford passed away peacefully on July 10 surrounded by his family. Born in Levidi Arkadias, Greece to Kosti and Panagiota, he was a devoted family man and beloved husband of Bessie (nee Parhas) for 63 years. He was the loving father of Penny (James) Spanos and Alexandra (Andrew Paspalas); proud and loving grandfather of Robert (Basiliki) Spanos, Alexander (Alyssa) Spanos and Victoria Paspalas; and  adoring “Big Pappou” to great granddaughters Penny and Theodora Spanos. Dr. Alfred Wolfsohn, Physician Formerly With Internal Medicine Associates in Darien

Dr. Alfred W. Wolfsohn was born in Berlin, Germany in 1929 and died on July 12, 2018. He practiced internal medicine and gastroenterology in Stamford since 1960, as a founder and member of the Stamford Medical Group from 1965-1999 and worked with Internal Medicine Associates of Darien from 1999-2007. He was a United States Naval Officer, serving in the medical branch in Newport, RI. Dr. Wolfsohn loved the practice of medicine and cherished teaching Yale, Brown, NY Medical and Columbia medical students. He was a recipient of the Yale Distinguished Teaching award.

Sara “Sally” Elisabeth Baker passed away on July 2, 2018. Born in Charleston, WV; raised in Darien and Rockport, MA, by the late Roland and Eleanor Glenn. She lived in New York City for 20 years and the last 25 in Arlington, VA. She used her background in theater and her astute attention to detail to advance her career in public relations and event coordination at Philip Morris, Newsweek, the United Way, and The Diane Rehm Show. Often adorned in her signature color purple, Sally traveled the globe.

Graeme James Lindsay passed away peacefully in his sleep, June 30, 2018 at his home. Born in Oamaru, New Zealand to Norma and Stuart (deceased) Lindsay. Graeme attended St. Kevin’s College, and went on to become a Fulbright scholar and attend Massey University. He moved to the U.S. in 1975 with the NZ Meat Board and went on to run the NZ Lamb Co.
