Shop one-of-a-kind gifts by local artists at Rowayton Arts Center’s annual Holiday Gift Show from Nov. 29 to Dec. 24, 2019.

The Rowayton Arts Center annual Holiday Gift Show is now open at 145 Rowayton Ave.

The RAC gallery will be transformed into a shopping wonderland with original, handcrafted works, including small ornaments and holiday-related items, jewelry, ceramics and knitted items plus original cards, prints and paintings.

Proceeds from the Holiday Gift Show are used to support RAC and its educational outreach.

Opening day is Friday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, with extended opening weekend hours (Saturday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., plus Monday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Regular hours for the show are Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (closed on Mondays).

Events include:

  • Coffee and Bagels breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
  • During Light Up Rowayton on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m, RAC Junior Members will offer an opportunity for children to write letters to Santa.
  • On Saturday, Dec. 7, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., Santa himself will visit RAC with photo ops and treats for all.
  • Also on Saturday, Dec. 7, there will be a Kids Holiday Workshop with a full day of artistic fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (preregistration required).
  • Sip and Shop on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with holiday wines and tasty appetizers.
  • On Saturday, Dec. 21 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., RAC junior members will wrap your gifts for a cash donation — bring along a new toy for a child at the Open Doors Shelter to spread the holiday cheer.

For almost 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
