The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Stamford beginning Monday, August 1, 2016.

The work consists of bridge maintenance on I-91 NB, Bridge #00032 (Metro-North Railroad and local roads) overpass.
This project is scheduled to occur from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1 to the morning of Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016. [That’s about a week and a half.]

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 NB, in Stamford, between Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (U.S. Route 1). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday through Friday [or, in this case, Thursday])
