— an obituary from the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home
_______
For years, he was active at Stamford Hospital serving on the Medical Board of the Stamford Surgicenter, and past chief of the Dental Department.
He enjoyed fishing, golf, and football, and was an active member of The Woodway Country Club. One of his favorite pastimes was searching for “the secret of golf” with his friends and family.
For Dr. Evans, his family was the most important part of his life. His children were his world. He loved to cheer on their teams including soccer, tennis, baseball, and rowing. As time went on, his grandchildren kept him young as he taught them to golf and throw a football. Family vacations were always the highlight of his year when he could spend quality time with his kids, grandkids, and wife.
Besides his wife, Dr. Evans is survived by two children, Mark Evans & his wife Melissa Evans of Troy, MI, and Cindy Evans Cash & her husband Julian of New Canaan. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Jackson & Hunter and his brother Brian Evans and his wife Karen of Coraopolis, Pa.
