The fifth annual The Winter Challenge gymnastics meet is coming to Chelsea Piers Connecticut, featuring events for about 900 male and female athletes, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 17 to 18 at Chelsea Piers Connecticut in Stamford.
Competing athletes, ranging from beginner to advanced level gymnasts, will include 54 teams from six states — Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The event is sanctioned by USA Gymnastics and utilizes all certified USAG equipment.

“This event is one that we look forward to because of the great success it has had over the years,” said Greta Wagner, executive director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “We are proud to provide this opportunity to bring together both Chelsea Piers New York and Chelsea Piers Connecticut, and to showcase the extremely talented competitive gymnasts in the region.”
The girl’s meet will take place in the Chelsea Piers Field House, while the boy’s competition will be staged in the Gymnastics facility.
