Looking for a 2’s program? Now is the time to sign up your child for the YWCA’s popular Toddler Time and Summer Fun. Registration opens on Jan. 22 for members and on Feb. 5 for non-members. The YWCA Darien/Norwalk is located at 49 Old Kings Highway North, Darien.

An Open House will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16 to learn more about the program. Parents are invited to visit between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. to meet the head teacher, see the classroom and ask questions.

Toddler Time is a two-hour drop-off enrichment program for two-year-olds using a play-based model to help children develop social skills, imagination, and greater self-reliance. Children born in 2016 are eligible for Toddler Time for the 2018-2019 school year.

In addition to traditional Toddler Time, there is also Summer Fun, which starts in early June and runs through mid-August 2018. Summer Fun is open to children who are two years old by June 4, as well as three-year-olds who have not started a 3’s program.

Both Toddler Time and Summer Fun classes have up to eight students with two teachers. Children may be enrolled in either program for up to three days a week. There is also an option to add an additional hour of enrichment for Toddler Time students two days a week in Book and Art Clubs.

If your two-year-old was born in 2015, there are a few openings in the current Toddler Time session, as well as opportunities to extend the day. Call the YWCA directly to discuss tuition and availability.

For more information on any of the Toddler Time offerings, please contact Julie Colbath: programs@ywcdn.org or call 203-655-2535. Registration forms and information are also available online at ywcadn.org.
