Tools valued at about $9,000 were reported stolen on Monday, Aug. 19, from the construction site near Palmers Market, Darien police said.
The theft was believed to have occurred between 3 and 6 p.m., two days before, on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the A. Papajohn Company construction site, police said. Police gave the address of the site as 340 Heights Road, the location of Palmers Market. Construction is ongoing at the site on the other side of the main customer parking lot from Palmers.
Police did not describe the tools or say how the time or day of the theft was determined.
