Barbara L Johnson (nee Thomas) passed away Sunday Aug. 5. She was 85.
She was born in Cumberland Maryland and graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1957. She also lived in Northfield, Ohio; Akron, Ohio, and Darien.
Born Aug. 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel Thomas. She was one of eight siblings and the last of her family.
Barbara was always full of smiles and affection for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was listening to Elvis Presley and watching his movies while enjoying something sweet to eat. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James L Clem, and her sons, Richard W Clem and James L Clem Jr.
She leaves behind two daughters, Deborah (Sanford) Rich, Diane Anderson,10 grandchildren, Sandy (Kim) Rich, Amanda (Andrew) DeGasperi, Annie (TJ) Rich-Gaffney, Aimee (Dan) Gisonni, Jamie Rich, Shannon (David) Cutlip, Brandon Anderson,10 great grandchildren, Sandy, Mabel, Annabelle, Andrew, Livi, Ava, Hailey, Hanna, Hadley, Peyton and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday Aug. 31, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland, Maryland.
