Police received two reports on Thursday morning, April 11, both involving tampered locks at residential properties in town.
Police gave these accounts:
The first incident, reported to police at 7:06 a.m., involved a Post Road house that was unoccupied and under construction. Police were told that when a man arrived for work there he found the back door open and a lock on it tampered with.
Several tools were stolen.
In the other incident, reported at 8:53 a.m., a Hillside Avenue man reported that a lock on his work trailer was cut off and tools were stolen from inside the trailer.
Investigations are ongoing in each incident.
