Luckiest Guy in Darien Walks Away After His Car Ends up in Five Mile River
|
A driver going east on Tokeneke Road left the roadway just before 6 a.m. Saturday, crashing into Five Mile River. He was able to get out of the car and was uninjured, Police Chief Jeremiah Maron said in a news release. The Patrol Division of Darien Police Department is still investigating the accident and no further details will be released, Maron said. Police did not say whether the driver was charged with anything, and they didn’t say how the accident might have happened or whether air bags in the sedan inflated. Close to three months ago, two cars left Tokeneke Road and ended up in the river, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old Bridgeport man.
