Sometime overnight last Thursday to Friday, someone attacked a mailbox on Raymond Street.
The mailbox post was damaged by a rock, and an M-80 firework was set off inside the mailbox, but apparently fizzled. It still blackened the interior of the box, which is expected to cost about $125 to replace.
A woman who lives at the house told police the household was in bed early, by about 8:30 p.m. When she went out to walk her dog, she saw the damage at about 5:30 a.m. A high school student lives in the home, but there are no suspects.
