Old copper pipes and a lawnmower were stolen from behind a house on Old Kings Highway North (between Kings Highway Tennis Club and Fuji of Japan restaurant), the homeowner told police on June 24.
The Toro brand lawn mower is valued at $300, but the homeowner didn’t put a price on the copper items — which had been removed from the house over the winter after they had frozen. The homeowner left them in the back and was planning on taking them to a scrap yard.
The scrap metal had been taken sometime between February and April, the homeowner said. The lawnmower was taken sometime in the past two weeks. The homeowner had no idea who might have taken it.
