Part of the northern platform at Noroton Heights station is closed to pedestrian traffic due to the ongoing platform replacement project, Metro-North announced.

The closure started on Wednesday (the announcement went out Friday night).

“Access to train station building and pedestrian overpass will be uninterrupted throughout the project,” the state Department of Transportation said in a previous announcement.

According to a Metro-North announcement on Friday night:

  • To access the platform please use the northwest side of Track 3 [nearest Hollow Tree Ridge Road and away from the highway].  Ticket vending machines have been relocated to the front of the station building. The overhead pedestrian bridge will remain open during this time.
  • Please listen for announcements at your station. We appreciate your patience during this work to improve our infrastructure.
