Mary Lukovsky, 92, recently passed away. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.

She was born May 21, 1926 to Andrew and Mary (Szanto) Lukovsky of Darien. Mary was predeceased by her parents, a sister Emma and a brother Elmer.

After the passing of her sister, Mary was placed with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services at Mansfield Training School from 1970 through 1974 and then moved to a home in Danielson. Mary had many roommates over the years and was loved by all.

Her favorite pastimes were planting flowers in her Brooklyn, CT garden and frequent visits to local garden centers. She was passionate about her many cats over the years and happily shared her space with them.

Mary called everyone she knew “friend” and people always felt the same. She was easy to love, she loved people! She always had a smile for everyone and was happy to have visitors.

A special thanks to Donna Copeland who loved Mary dearly and was a good friend, and to Bernice Ramirez and all the staff at Matulaitis Nursing Home for the loving care given to Mary over the years. A very special thanks to Dr. Joe Botta who changed Mary’s life for the better over the last two decades.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
