Alternating right and left lane closures will face drivers on the Merritt Parkway driving in either direction early this week in Stamford or New Canaan, the state Department of Transportation has announced.
Bridge inspections are the reason, according to the Thursday, July 27 announcement. Lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at these days and locations on the Merritt, U.S. Route 15:
- Monday in Stamford between Exit 33 (Den Road) and Exit 34 (Long Ridge Road)
- Tuesday and Wednesday in New Canaan between Exit 36 (Old Stamford Road, near Talmadge Hill Railroad Station) and Exit 37 (South Avenue, which becomes Mansfield Avenue in Darien)
