If you see any of the missing-dog signs posted near lower Hollow Tree Ridge Road in Noroton (or on various Facebook pages), you can now ignore them — Lammy, a seven-year-old, silver-colored toy poodle, has been found.

Here’s the victorious Facebook post that announced his return at about 6 p.m. Thursday:

“Tears of joy on Victory Lane this evening. One of the happiest moments I’ve ever witnessed. Thank you so much to the outpour of love & help and support for the Martinez family. Proud to be from a town like Darien. May we all pop bottles in Lammy’s honor!”

According to previous posts on Facebook, Lammy left home and was last seen at about 5 or 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12. He was later seen on Pasture Lane, behind Hindley School

On Wednesday night, one of his owners, Elizabeth Lycan Martinez posted this thank-you message on Facebook, while the search was still on:

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been helping us look out for our pup Lammy! It is such an amazing feeling to know you live in a town where everyone is willing to help. I always knew how special Darien was, but now I have no doubt. Thank you thank thank you!

I have a good feeling we will spot him soon. The best thing everyone can do is keep an eye out and call me. The professionals said he is most likely scared and hiding. To please not try to catch him or to call his name but to call me instead. […]

Again, thank you all for showing me there are still good people in this world! Xo
