Keith Flake Baity passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Bedford, New Hampshire, at the age of 68.

Keith Baity, 68, died on March 25. His funeral will be private.
Keith was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Oct. 26, 1956, and was the identical twin of John Cooley Baity Jr.. He grew up in Larchmont and Rye, New York, and attended Deerfield Academy from 1970 to 1974. He graduated from Princeton University in 1978 and went on to earn his MBA from Columbia Business School in 1982.
Keith began his career as a risk arbitrageur at Bear Stearns before transitioning into international financial consulting, a field in which he spent most of his professional life. He lived and worked around the world-including in Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Paris-bringing his sharp intellect, global perspective, and deep curiosity to every endeavor.
Keith had a brilliant mind and a unique ability to understand complex financial structures.
He was also an avid and accomplished golfer and a passionate squash player. But his greatest joy came from being with his family. He especially cherished holidays and family celebrations.
Keith was exquisitely generous, kind, and funny-someone who brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. He shared a singular, lifelong bond with his identical twin brother, John — a connection both instinctive and enduring, formed before birth and carried through every chapter of his life. He also shared a deeply rooted relationship with his mother, Jeanie, whose unconditional love and loyalty were his lifelong anchor.
He is survived by his son, Marco Baity Jesi of Zürich, Switzerland; his twin brother, John Cooley Baity Jr.; his sister-in-law, Lisa Baity, of Bedford, New Hampshire; and his sister, Cheryl R. Baity of Darien. He is also survived by his father, John C. Baity, and his stepmother, Patricia A. Baity, both of Greenwich; as well as his nieces and nephews: Brianne Gallagher of Medford, Massachusetts; Ryan Falla of Austin, Texas; and Connor Falla of Charlotte, North Carolina. Most importantly, Keith is survived by his beloved mother, Bette Jean “Jeanie” Plant of Darien.
A private family gathering will be held at Noroton Presbyterian Chapel in Darien to honor his life.
Keith will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
