— an announcement from STAR Inc. and JoyRide
All donations will be matched 100% by an anonymous donor. If you have never tried spinning — here is your fun, inclusive opportunity in a no judgment zone!
The event is open to the public. Cost is $50 per rider payable to STAR Inc. at the door. Riders must register in advance on the JoyRide website. Space is limited.
JoyRide Darien and JoyRide Westport will both offer 50-minute outdoor spin classes in support of STAR. JoyRide Westport will host a class on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 12 to 1 p.m. and JoyRide Darien on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 12 to 1 p.m.
“We are thrilled to partner with STAR and look forward to a fun outdoor ride while raising money for our local neighbors with disabilities,” JoyRide CEO Becky Cerroni said. “Our studios in Darien and Westport are excited to continue their community engagement with STAR and are looking forward to leading fun, inclusive rides.”
CDC guidelines ensure rider safety (social distancing, masks when not cycling, and sanitizing procedures).
“This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our friends at JoyRide and create a fun, safe way to be active and do good for our community,” said Katie Banzhaf, STAR executive director. “We are grateful to Becky and her team for this fundraising opportunity.”
