It looks like the Merritt Parkway from Norwalk to Fairfield will be a mess, with lane closures in at least two spots in either direction, according to Connecticut Department of Transportation announcements.
The department has announced (here and here) road work and bridge-inspection work will close lanes at these spots this week near Darien (we’ve added another report for Stamford on Wednesday that doesn’t involve a lane slowdown):
MONDAY
Greenwich — Single right lane closure on I-684 northbound traffic lanes between Exits 2 and 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Westport — Road Work on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) southbound traffic lanes between Exits 44 and 42 (5.5 miles) in effect today until 3 p.m. The right lane is closed.
Norwalk — Road Work on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) northbound traffic lanes Exit 40B off ramp closed in effect today until 3 p.m.
Fairfield — Right lane closure on Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) northbound traffic lanes between Exits 42 and 44 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Left lane closure on Route 15 southbound traffic lanes between Exits 44 and 42 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
TUESDAY
Greenwich — Single right lane closure on I-684 northbound traffic lanes between Exits 2 and 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WEDNESDAY
Greenwich — Single right lane closure on I-684 southbound traffic lanes between Exits 3 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Stamford — No lane closures — Driving van Mounted Survey Unit on Interstate 95 in both northbound-traffic and southbound-traffic lanes between Exits 7 and 9 at reduced speed.
THURSDAY
Greenwich — Single right lane closure on I-684 southbound traffic lanes between Exits 3 and 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Greenwich — Right lane closures on Steamboat Road between Arch Street and Railroad Avenue
