The Darien Chamber of Commerce is inviting all local business owners to attend a presentation given by Darien’s tax assessor on the property revaluation process that determines how taxes will be assessed on property.

Cities and towns in Connecticut are mandated by the state to revalue all real property every five years to insure uniformity in real property values, since changing market conditions can otherwise create inequities.
This revaluation will be important to all business owners in Darien, not just commercial property owners, so it’s a good idea for Darien businesses to understand it.
Tax Assessor Anthony J. Homicki will give a presentation on how the Assessor’s Office will be implementing commercial assessments.
The presentation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Darien Town Hall in Room 206; the presentation is free and open to the public.
