The Darien Board of Realtors, Inc. has named Lucille D. Story, Halstead CT, “2016 Realtor of the Year.” A panel of past president’s reviewed submissions from members of the Darien board and unanimously chose Lucille based on her dedication and passion for the Darien board.
Lucille has been a member of the Darien Board of Realtors, the Connecticut Realtors and the National Association of Realtors for 38 consecutive years.
Among her many attributes, she has served in many roles, including 1996 President and a Director of the Darien Board for more than nine consecutive years and a Director of the Connecticut Association of Realtors.
Over the years Lucille has attended several state and national conventions. She is a standing member of the Nominating Committee of the Darien Board and also the Events Committee chair since it’s conception, 10 years ago.
Lucille has also been a mentor to numerous brokers in the ethical practice of real estate and has been a “pioneer” in the art of staging a home, helping fellow realtors along the way.

Ms. Story, a 47-year resident of Darien, is married to Lawrence “Larry” Story, a past president of the Connecticut Association of Realtors. They have raised three children in Darien, two whom still reside in town.
