Barbara Ezzolo, 87, passed away on Aug. Her wake and funeral will be on Friday, Sept. 6.

Barbara was a longtime resident of Darien. She was born on Feb. 4, 1932 and grew up in Greenwich Village, New York City. She worked as an executive secretary for W.R. Grace & Co. for many, many years.

She met her husband, William, 60 years ago, while ice skating at Madison Square Garden in New York. They have been happily married for many years.

Barbara loved nature and the outdoors — one of the reasons she owned a beautiful home in the Poconos for many years and so loved her home in Darien.

She also loved dogs and always had one by her side. Kerry will miss her tremendously. She loved rug hooking and crafting, and enjoyed these hobbies and spending time with a wonderful social circle. She was a wonderful, loving wife and friend to so many and truly enjoyed spending time on holidays and special events with her family. Barbara will be truly missed by all of us.
