Nancy Patricia Wunder died Nov. 9 with her beloved family by her side at Maplewood in Darien. Pat was 85 years old and loved by all her family and friends.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1930 in Baltimore, and was the oldest child of the late Duncan Lyle and Charlotte Stubbs.

Pat met her husband, Bill, the late William E. Wunder in high school in Baltimore. They were married in 1951 and enjoyed 54 years together with their children and grandchildren. Pat loved her family and their many times together, especially annual family vacations in Ocean City, MD.

She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Debora Wunder Jr. of Noblesville, Ind., her two daughters, Deborah Lewis of Jupiter, Fla., Kathleen Wunder of Stamford, and her son and partner, Donald Wunder and James Oliver of Ogunquit, Maine.

Pat also leaves six grandchildren, Kristin Barry (Steve), Kathleen Persavich (Nicholas), Scott Lewis, William Wunder III (Chauncey), Kaitlyn Wunder and Robert Wunder, and four great grandchildren, Jack, Evan, Noah and Katherine.

In addition to her husband, Pat was predeceased by her two sisters, Barbara Burch and Carol Waddell. She also leaves behind her loving brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Ann Stubbs.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, at 10:30 a.m., St. Thomas More, 374 Middlesex Road in Darien. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or St. Thomas More Church in Darien.
