Some residents have noticed commercial vehicles backing into the transfer station and dumping loads of single stream recycling in with what they think is municipal solid waste.
Not to worry — a modification was made to the bays within the transfer station that allows commercial vehicles to unload recyclables here, making drop-offs quicker and easier than before.
Recyclables dropped here will soon be transferred to City Carting’s sorting facility in Stamford.
