Where’s Darien headed in the future? What do town officials who pay attention to the town’s problems think are the most important ones, and where is the town doing well? What new services should we have or where are we wasting money?
Get answers to these questions and more Wednesday night when Darien’s town officials come to speak and answer the public’s questions.
They work (as volunteers) for you, although occasionally Darienite.com and others have to remind some of them of that.
If there’s a topic that hasn’t been brought up at the meeting, you can ask them yourself, or bring it up at the reception half an hour before the meeting. You (normally) deserve answers.
Here’s the Darien League of Women Voters announcement about the event (slightly edited by Darienite.com):
The Darien League’s annual town officials program will take place on Wednesday, April 5 in the Darien Library Community Room with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and program beginning at 7 p.m.
First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, Board of Education Chairman Michael Harman, Board of Finance Chairman Jon Zagrodzky, Planning and Zoning Chairman John Sini and RTM Moderator Seth Morton will give prepared remarks followed by questions from the audience. The program is free and open to the public.
Please join the Darien league at this event. For further information please contact Clara Sartori at 203-470-0312 or e-mail her at sart161@optonline.net. Remember, Democracy is not a spectator sport.
