At 9:13 a.m., Person-to-Person announced that its new P2P On Wheels bus, a mobile food pantry, will be available for the public to explore at Throndal Circle from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 8. Here’s the announcement:

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30p today, U.S. Chemicals LLC will be hosting the P2P Mobile Food Pantry – P2P On Wheels – at Thorndal Circle in Darien. People are invited to tour and experience P2P On Wheels while enjoying free ice cream sandwiches. About P2P On Wheels

P2P On Wheels in Stamford helps address the high rate of food insecurity in that city, serves more Stamford residents with casework counseling and emergency financial assistance and increases collaboration with partner agencies in Stamford. Staffed by a P2P Caseworker for client appointments, P2P On Wheels features a full selection of grocery items including fresh fruits & vegetables, dairy items, grains, meat & poultry and shelf-stable goods; providing enough food for three meals a day for seven days for each member of the family. Click for more information.

The first was a Masquerade Ball held at the Country Club of Darien on Saturday, April 21. On this beautiful spring evening, guests wore black and white attire and, in keeping with the theme, donned festive eye masks.

Tickets are now on sale to the public for the OPUS for Person-to-Person Spring Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, March 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Woodway Country Club. Anna Quindlen, a critically acclaimed and New York Times best-selling author, will be the guest speaker at the luncheon, which is sponsored by Barrett Bookstore. Proceeds from the OPUS Spring Luncheon will go to the Emergency Fund at Person-to-Person, which provides emergency financial assistance for security deposits, rents and utilities. Tickets are available on the OPUS website. Individual tickets are $110 per person, which includes lunch and a signed copy of Ms. Quindlen’s new book, Alternate Side.
