If you missed Darien’s Household Hazardous Waste Day in early June, you can still drop off yours at Stamford’s collection day for the stuff today, Saturday, July 14. A list of items accepted is at the bottom of this article. Stamford’s collection place will be in a parking lot at Rippowam Middle School, 381 High Ridge Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. For all the upcoming collection days in area towns accepting items from Darien residents, this may be the closest, easiest-to-get-to spot. Here’s Where to Take Them
While paint will not be accepted at this event it can be brought for recycling to Keogh’s Hardware on High Ridge Road or Sherwin Williams on Hope Street, according to the Stamford city government’s recycling newsletter.
