Darien Police: Man, 65, Arrested Two Years After Using Phony ID to Withdraw $2.5K from a Darien Bank

A man now 65 years old was arrested last Wednesday after an investigation into a 2023 attempt to use a phony Maryland driver’s license to withdraw $2,500 from M&T Bank at 25 Old Kings Hwy. North, Darien police said. Police gave this further account, including accusations not proven in court:
Police were called at about 4:30 p.m. on April 14, 2023 on a report of an attempted larceny. A bank employee said a man tried to withdraw the money using the fraudulent license. The man, later identified as Justo Garcia of 1013 180th St.
