Gin Blossoms Play Outdoors in Downtown Stamford Thursday

The Gin Blossoms will perform Thursday night, July 19 in Columbus Park in Downtown Stamford in the latest Alive@Five concert. 

Two bands will perform on the same stage that night: Tonic and Vertical Horizon. The event costs $20 and starts at 5 p.m.

The Gin Blossoms have undoubtedly left their mark on the Rock music map. The Grammy nominated band’s fusion of Melodic Rock, Pop, Folk and Country elements has helped pave the way for the modern Rock of today. — An announcement from the Stamford Downtown Special Services District

Gavin DeGraw performs Thursday as part of Stamford’s Alive@Five concert series at Columbus Park in downtown Stamford. On the same outdoor stage will be Sir Cadian Rythm, an alternative pop band. The show starts at 5 p.m., and arriving early is much, much better than late. Multi-platinum singer/songwriter, Gavin DeGraw, first broke through with the 2003 release of his debut album, Chariot, which sold over 1 million copies, earned platinum certification, and yielded three hit singles: “I Don’t Want To Be,” “Follow Through,” and the title-track, “Chariot.”

Sir Cadian Rhythm
Based out of the concrete jungle that is NYC, Sir Cadian Rhythm is an alternative pop band known for their captivating live performance and infectious melodies. The band’s unique sonic blend, which teeters on the edge of pop and alternative rock, is the result of each member coming from different musical upbringings ranging from musical theater to horn-laden funk to psychedelic rock music.

Alive @ Five, Wednesday Nite Live Events Start This Week at Stamford’s Columbus Park

Alive@Five, downtown Stamford’s Thursday night summer concert series, begins this Thursday, June 28 with Gavin DeGrawwith on stage, and the day before, the Wednesday Nite Live series begins in the same place, with the O’Jays. Later, Gin Blossoms plays Thursday, July 19 and Joe Jackson on July 11. Entrance fees for both concert series are $20 per person. See the Video for Alive Five and Wednesday Nite Live:

The Alive@Five concerts start at 5 p.m. at Columbus Park, and are for concertgoers 21 and over. Live music from national and regional headliners, which attracts after-work crowds.
