Rose C. Buch, 86, of Darien passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 9, surrounded by her family.
Born in Stamford on March 14, 1938, Rose was the youngest of four, taking on the nickname of “Babe.” She graduated from Stamford High School and attended the University of Connecticut.
A quiet and loving person, Rose was well loved by everyone she met. Rose loved the beach, and every summer you could find her at Pear Tree or Weed Beach enjoying the sun, swimming, and visiting with her friends and family. In addition to the beach, she enjoyed dancing, music, and traveling.
Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert J. Buch. She is survived by her three loving children: Bobby (Katie), Carol Decker (Todd), and Cindy Pinto (Michael). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kelly, Bobby (Ellen), Nicole, Lauren and Meghan; her great-grandchild, Leighton, and her many nieces and nephews. Rose also leaves behind her brother, Joseph Correnty; sister in law, Joan Correnty; and her best friend and sister, Josephine Lombardo. She was predeceased by her parents, Amedeo and Frances Correnty; and her brother, Anthony. Her smile will forever stay in our hearts.
A service to celebrate Rose’s life will be held at St. Matthew Church 216 Scribner Ave in Norwalk on Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County or At Home in Darien.
