Robert E. Wolkwitz, passed away on June 29, 2024, with his family by his side. He was 80.

Bob remains loved by his wife Robin Ackerman; his 4 children – Alicia (Lex) Mills, Bob, Michael (Araceli Moreno), Rick (Theresa Mataras) and his seven grandchildren, and three brothers.
Born in January 1944 to Dr. Robert E. and Margaret Wolkwitz. Bob and his three brothers grew up on Staten Island, New York.
Bob began his career at Philipp Brothers as a commodity trader. In 1999 he joined Louis Dreyfus as vice president and managing director of International Trading.
After 10 years and a short-lived retirement, he consulted for Gama Polymers, Turkey and then Capital Hill, China, developing their U.S. markets as well as guiding their business teams for international trade. In 2014 Bob officially retired.
Bob was passionate about his hobbies, especially drag racing. As member of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), he built and raced his own cars under the “Wolkoworld” logo. He enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting and occasional trips to the casino.
Bob will be remembered and missed by all.
