State Rep. Terrie Wood, whose legislative district covers most of Darien, will hold a “coffee and conversation” period where constituents can come and talk to her from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1 at NEAT coffee shop at 20 Grove St. in downtown Darien.
Wood, a Republican representing the 141st state House of Representatives district, will hold a similar event from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Rowayton Market at 157 Rowayton Ave. in Norwalk, according to an email to constituents.
- Darien’s three Democratic state legislators are holding a similar hourlong meeting for constituents at Darien Diner, starting at 9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31.
“Please join me at NEAT Coffee or Rowayton Market to discuss the upcoming 2020 legislative session to share your ideas for potential legislation over a cup of coffee,” Wood said in the email.
The email also said: “These events are free and open to the public. The coffee will be self-service. If you are unable to attend, but would still like to connect with me about potential new legislation, please contact me via the means listed below.”
