Arrest photo of Shanti Recinos, 22, of Grandview Road in Fairfield, charged with first-degree larceny in connection with the theft of two watches.
The victim told police that the Rolex’s are a Milgauss and a Sea-Dweller, and they were stolen along with their boxes and paperwork. An investigation found that the watches had been pawned at Pawn King in Stratford. Police did not say whether the watches were recovered although the police news release said “evidence collection” and interviews were parts of the investigation.
Police did not give an estimated value of the watches, but the Rolex website listed one Sea-Dweller priced at $13,350 and another at $19,650. The website didn’t show any Milgauss watches, but a Google Shopping search showed them being offered for as little as $330 and as much as $18,850, depending on the type.
The theft occurred on Jan. 28, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
Police did not say why Recinos was in the home.
Police applied for and received an arrest warrant charging Shanti Recinos of Grandview Road in Fairfield with one count of first-degree larceny, a felony.
The court set her bond at $75,000. On March 31, she turned herself in at Darien Police Headquarters early in the morning. She couldn’t pay the bond, so she was sent that day to state Superior Court in Stamford, where the bond was dropped and she was released. Her next court date is April 21.
