These two incidents involving thieving a parked vehicle and an attempt at thieving from another were reported to Darien police on Tuesday, Jan. 30 — one early in the morning, the other late at night:
—At 6:29 a.m., police responded to a report of a stolen front license plate at The Royle of Darien, a senior housing development at 719 Post Road. The victim told police that the theft occurred overnight.
—At about 11:16 p.m., the owner of a vehicle parked at a home on Brookside Road (between its intersections with Three Wells Lane and Marianne Road) told police that she’d found when she entered it that every part of the interior had been rummaged through. The vehicle had been unlocked. Police didn’t say whether the woman reported that anything was stolen.
