Back on April 4 2001, Darien police arrested Jeffrey Drescher, then 45, on a charges related to receiving the benefits of illegal use of a credit card. He didn’t show up in court at some point that year and a warrant for failing to appear was issued.

On Jan. 30, 2019, almost 18 years later, Stratford police stopped Drescher, now 52, of Success Street in Stratford, and found he was wanted. Darien police arrested him on the warrant and later released him on a $1,000 bond.

Charged with four counts of receiving the benefits of illegal use of a credit card and now failure to appear in court, he is scheduled to appear Feb. 13 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
