Lanes   on both the northbound- and southbound-traffic sides of Interstate 95 will be closed in Stamford, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 13, the state Department of Transportation has announced.

The lane closures will allow bridge maintenance on various bridges on I-95 in Stamford.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., from Tuesday to  early morning on Friday, Nov. 16.

The work is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

Drivers can expect various lane closures on I-95 in both directions between Exit 7 (Route 137, Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (Rts. 1 and 106 in Glenbrook).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide drivers through the work zone.

The schedule for the work could change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions.  Drivers are asked to maintain a safe speed when driving in the area.
