A competition for the best decorated bra is part of this year’s fundraiser for breast cancer awareness Wednesday night at Nielsen’s Florist & Garden Center, where you can also get a 10 percent discount.

The Bras for a Cause fundraising event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30. You not only get a discount of 10 percent if you shop that night, the Paint the Town Pink fundraising initiative gets another 10 percent, in addition to all proceeds from the event, which costs $10 at the door.
Cocktails will be available.

Two winners will be decided- one by votes placed at the event and online and one by our judge, First Selectman Jayme Stevenson.
