an obituary from Heritage Funeral Home

________

Leslie was a true southern cook and entertainer — all were welcome in her home and were treated to her gracious southern hospitality. Her greatest joys were her son, her family and friends. She loved her time teaching elementary school and being a youth leader at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She was also a CNA [certified nursing assistant] where her passion for taking care of others truly shined. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, and trips to the mountains.

Thank-you to the incredible friends and extended family that supported her during her hard-fought battle.

A Memorial Service was held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Monday, Dec. 7. The family was to receive guests in the parlor immediately afterward.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her honor/memory. Heritage Funeral Home in Charlotte is handling all arrangements.
