Jeanne Rodriguez Preston Florenza, 58, of Norwalk passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Jan. 7 at Norwalk Hospital.
Jeanne Preston Rodriguez, 58, passed away on Jan. 7. Her wake and funeral will be on Saturday, Jan. 12
She was born in Yonkers, New York on June 8, 1960 to the late John and Carmella Chiarito Rodriguez.
Jeanne attended Norwalk Public Schools and graduated from Norwalk High School, class of 1978. She was an avid Yankees and Hartford Whalers fan.
Jeanne was employed at Dooney & Bourke Co. and also with Golf Digest and Tennis Magazine and travelled worldwide. When traveling she attended multiple tennis events including Wimbledon. She was a prayer warrior at St. Paul’s Church Ministry in Darien.

She is survived by her devoted husband and love of her life of 10½ years (as she was the love of his life), Dominick A. Florenza, Jr. of Stamford; her brothers: Joseph Rodriguez and his wife Cindi of Norwalk; John Rodriguez and his wife, Lori, of Southbury; and her sisters: Jackie Grossman and her husband, Kenny, of Trumbull; and Jennifer Rodriguez of Norwalk; as well as a sister-in-law, Eileen DeLeo, of Stamford; and a brother-in-law, Bishop Rocco Florenza, and his wife, Linda, of Ansonia. Also surviving are nine nieces, three nephews and several cousins, uncles and aunts.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment is private.
