James J Whittaker (Jack) passed away on Oct. 31, 2018. He was 92.

His family is asking that friends join them in a celebration of his life at the American Legion, 60 County St., Norwalk from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7. Please come and remember Jack with cocktails, stories and an old fashioned send-off.

Jack was born on Jan. 18, 1926 to James and Emily Whittaker. He grew up in Darien and graduated from Darien High School in 1944.

He served in the Navy during WWII. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was a member and a former commander of the American Legion in Norwalk.

Jack spent most of his adult life in Norwalk. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his daughter Sharon Ann Kochovos.

He was a self-employed electrician and owner of The FairCo Electric Company.

Jack gave generously to countless charities throughout his life.

Jack is survived by two sons, James Whittaker and his wife Linda and Gary Whittaker and his wife Barbara as well as his three daughters, Cindy Antia and her husband Henry, Linda Collins and Lisa Willigan and her husband Herb. He also had 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
