James Albert Peterson of Darien died peacefully on March 18 with his loving wife Doreen by his side.
He was born Nov. 6, 1956, graduated from J.M. Wright Technical High School and attended Norwalk Community College. After marrying Doreen DeRosa on July 8, 1989 they resided in Wilton and more recently in Cape Coral, Fla.
Jim was co-designer and president of Stor-A-Dor. He was the son of the late James and Loretta Peterson, brother of the late Martha Mihalko, survived by his brother Peter, of Darien and his sisters, Kathy Lanzalotta of Fort Myers, Fla. and Lynne Masterson. of New York City, along with five nephews and four nieces.
Though only 59, Jim lived life to the fullest and completed his bucket list. He was an adventurous, loving, kind-hearted, creative soul with a contagious sense of humor. Jim was truly a unique individual who was loved and admired by all who knew him. We will miss him dearly, but he will be forever in our hearts.
